Onsite computer repair at Stoneleigh in Warwickshire

For the next job today we are in Stoneleigh to maintain a computer for a customer, the main issue is checking the Antivirus on the PC and its reported to be running slow.
Update: The main thing effecting the speed of this Dell Studio laptop was the web control software supplied that was hogging resources so we removed this and other programs by editing the registry.

We also gave the customer some tuition on an Apple Macbook Pro.

Onsite computer repair Leamington PC running slow

This morning i spent an hour cleaning up a computer on the Welsh Road between Cubbington and Offchurch.
It had an update software from Macrovision running and this was holding a large percentage of the computers resources, Slowing the PC down and increasing the fan noise.
We disabled the updater and various other applications and left the Dell computer running well.

Virus update and other computer maintenance in Leamington Spa

This Morning we are at Leamington performing a check up on a couple of computers one desktop and one laptop. The desktop is pretty good just needed an update to the antivirus program and the HP printer scanner software loading to correct a scanner issue. The laptop has been very lucky i guess not used to much as it had no antivirus installed this was rectified and the machine given a malware clean up.

Installing Epson Cheque Printer

This morning we are back at Blunts Green between Henley in Arden and Tanworth working for Warwickshire Trailers.

We setup and tested an epson cheque printer to work with Intuit Quickbooks Pro via USB the hard part with this is to get the software to line up the cheques properly, that way all you need to do is load the cheques and not have to try to adjust the position off the paper each time.

Good Morning we are currently at Honiley in Warwickshire setting up and New Computer for a customer, This is consisting of data transfer from the old Desktop PC. Installing Software such as Sage Accounts and Payroll and Setting up network shares, Dymo Label Printer, Emails and Address Books Converted.

We are now with a customer on Golf Lane in Whitnash near Royal Leamington Spa, We are here to set up the customers new computer including transferring data setting up internet, email,Scanner, Printer and install a SATA DVDRW drive.

Update: 280410 We come back here a few days later to solve an issue with the customers Corel Videostudio Express 2010, it kept reporting “Insufficent Memory”, This issue was solved by upgrading the audio and video drivers to the latest available direct from the manufacturer.
