Repairing a power socket on a laptop computer onsite at Wellesbourne in Warwickshire

Good morning we are with a customer on Hammon Green at Wellesbourne in Warwickshire, we are here to effect a repair on an Acer Aspire 5738 / 5338 laptop computer that has a loose power supply socket, this will involve disassembling the computer and removing the main motherboard to see if the socket looks repairable and assuming that it does need re soldering and strengthening the socket before testing and reassembling .

Update: The Acer Aspire 5738 / 5338 laptop computer was repaired successfully, and as the machine was 2.5 years old it seemed prudent to change the CR2032 battery that holds the time date and CMOS information as they can last 3 to 5 years and normally would be inaccessible.

Computer Repair in Haseley Knob

Good Morning today we are with a customer in Haseley Knob between Wroxall, Beausale and Honiley the issue is the customers Laptop Computer is not booting up, We loaded in to Recovery Console and attempted to read the Harddrive this resulted in the Error “An error occurred during directory enumeration”, This mean’t the hardrive was unreadable at this point, we performed a hardrive recovery and was able to make the machine fully functioning again with the recommendation that the customer backs up any important data as would be possible that the drive is failing.

Computer Beeping and no Screen Output at Honiley

Good afternoon, We are now with a customer at Honiley, We are here to repair a computer that the customer has reported giving beeps on start up but no screen output, We repaired the computer by cleaning the memory processor and video card connectors, After getting the computer working again the customer has us check the PC is clean and running as well as it can.

Good Morning we are with a customer on Burberry Grove in Balsall Common, the customer has reported that the browser has been hijacked. We found and removed a rootkit virus, Trojan viruses and other Malware, We then ran a malware scan to make sure all clear.

Dead Computer to repair and Other Maintenance at Balsall Common in Warwickshire

Good afternoon, We are with a customer on Station Road at Balsall Common in Warwickshire, We are here because the customer has reported that his computer needs repairing the fault described is that the computer is powering up but has flashing on the screen.

Update after some investigation it was found that the computers power supply was not functioning correctly so we replaced the unit and tested, We also updated the customer antivirus and firewall programs to the latest versions.

Computer Repair at Balsall Common in Warwickshire

For the next job today we are at Riddings Hill at Ballsall Common in Warwickshire to maintain a Laptop computer for a customer. The main thing we are here for is to check the Antivirus on the PC and the computer is reported to be running slow.
Update: The main thing effecting the speed of this Dell Studio laptop was the webcontrol software supplied was hogging resources so we removed this and other programs by editing the registry.
