Installing a new laptop computer and recovering data at Harbury in Warwickshire

Good morning we are with a customer on Mill Street at Harbury in Warwickshire, We are here to setup the customers new laptop computer and to attempt to recover data from their broken computer.

 

Update: We setup the new laptop computer including installing software setting up security such a antivirus and firewall, installed the customers printer and scanner, and managed to recover the data from the broken computer including documents, Pictures, Music, Emails, Favourites, Address book and transferred them on to the new laptop computer

New Computer Installation and Data Transfer in Leamington Spa

We are now with a customer on Newbold Terrace East in Leamington Spa, We are here to Install the customers new computer system including setting up antivirus and firewall security, Installing wireless to gain access to the internet and emails, Set up a Hewlett Packard Deskjet F2280 multifunction USB printer,Installed a Record Deck and Audacity,  Plus we recovered data from an old pc including documents, Pictures, Music, Favourites Emails and address book for AOL and Contacts and calendar from Outlook.

Computer with Mouse Freezing at Radford Semele

We are on Offchurch Lane in Radford Semele, The customer has reported that the mouse cursor keeps freezing whilst they are using their IBM Thinkpad laptop computer, We ran the Spybot, Adaware and Avivra Scans on this computer and found a number of Viruses and malware which was removed, This solved the issues reported

Computer Running Slowly in Leamington Spa

We are with a customer at Milverton Terrace in Leamington Spa, We are here because the customer has report that their computer is running slowly, We edited the registry, Deleted all unneeded temporary files, Removed unneeded programs, Ran Windows updates, Updated the Antivirus and Firewalls. All this helped make the computer run faster.

Computer not booting up in Royal Leamington Spa

We are now with a customer on the Kenilworth Road in Leamington Spa, The customer has not been able to get Their Dell Computer to boot up, We Performed a recovery on the hard drive and was able to get the computer working and access all the customers data, We have recommended to the customer to backup any important information.

Unmountable Boot Volume in Leamington Spa

We are with a Customer on Gaveston Road in Royal Leamington Spa, We are here to repair a Sony Vaio Laptop Computer that is giving the hard drive error “Unmountable Boot Volume”, We succeed in performing a recovery here and recommend the customer to backup any important data to their external hard drive in case the problem reoccurs.

Update: After checking the memory and the hard drive the only option we had was to reinstall Windows XP and updated all drivers. We then backed up all the data in case off any further issues.

Internet Explorer not Working After Windows Update in Leamington Spa

Good Afternoon, For our next job today we are with a customer on Binswood Avenue in Leamington Spa, We are here because the customer has reported after a Windows Update the computers Internet Explorer stopped working.

Update : We tested this one with the -extoff extension and it worked fine so we  removed incompatible addons and removed unneeded toolbars, and this solved the customers issue, we then also ran a malware check to make sure the computer was clean.

ftav.exe Virus on a Computer in Leamington

Good afternoon we are with a customer on Church Hill in Royal Leamington Spa, We are here to remove a Virus that uses random letters plus ftav.exe, The symptoms are a green shield in the resident program icons, We removed  this problem by editing the registry, Deleting the Virus Files from the Application Data and Temp Files, And then checked clear by running a Malwarebytes Scan, The Norton antivirus here was very out of date and needed the use of the Norton removal tool to uninstall from the computer, We replaced this with the free AVG antivirus and Zonealarm firewall.
