Good afternoon we are with a customer on the Chase Meadows in Warwick, The customer has reported several problems on their notebook computer running Microsoft Windows XP, the first problem was that the computer had lost all of the customers data, it seems the customer had purchased the computer from a previous employer and the computer had been set up to synchronise when returned to the office, some how the computer had been reset to be used as a stand alone machine and this had hidden the protected data, this required us to run system restore and return to a previous state which also solve a lesser issue with synchronising an Apple iPhone this had stopped working after a Microsoft Windows update for Apple had installed.
Now we have a fully working computer we are able to reproduce the customers original fault which was that they were unable to save any thing in to the documents folder, the documents folder is in fact an offline folder to solve this we just upped the limit on the offline folder size.
Whilst here we also checked that the backup system was backing up the Offline folder with all the customers data.

Good Morning we are with a customer on Beauchamp Road in Warwick, we are here to Set up a new computer system, This entails Installing the computer with any of the customers software that is required, Installing the Netgear ADSL Wireless Router, Protecting the computer with antivirus and firewall, setting up the emails and internet, Retrieving data from a 3.5″ IDE hard drive from the old computer including My Documents(The advantage of doing this was that we did not have to repair the existing computer plus usually quicker), Pictures, Music, Emails and address book, as well as installing viewers for Powerpoint, and installing the 2 Printers here (one Brother Laser printer and one HP multifunction inkjet).
For the last job today we are at a customers on Chesford Crescent at Warwick, We are here to repair the customers Laptop computer which is giving a hall.dll Error, To check this computer we booted to system recovery Console and attempted to read the hard drive this resulted in the error “unable to enumerate directory”, This meant the hardrive was unreadable so we had no choice but to attempt a recovery on the computer, this was successful and after being able to reboot in to windows we setup the customer with a backup system and left the machine backing up. The reasoning for this is that the data involved was critical to the customer and having had one issue it seemed quite likely another may occur.
Update as it happens 2 days later the repaired machine died and the backup of the laptop computer saved the customer from having to repay for data recovery, the only thing to note here is if your using a hard drive to backup to then you need to remember it is also a mechanical device and it is worth retiring the back up drives every 2 years to avoid failure.
Good Morning, Today we are on Bridge End at Warwick in Warwickshire, The job here is to setup and install a new computer, Recover data from an old broken computer such as pictures documents and emails, Then setup and test the customers printer and scanner.
Good afternoon we are in Warwick to repair a computer that is rebooting constantly, for this one we have booted up a CD in recovery console and attempted to read the drive this resulted in the error “An error occurred during directory enumeration” and meant the drive was currently unreadable, So we ran the recovery tool from the CD, this found and fixed errors on the hardrive this allowed us to load the computer and the customers data was recovered, The recommendation at this point is to make sure any important or irreplaceable data such as letters, accounts or pictures are all backed up to another media such as CD, Memory Stick or another hardrive as the possibility of the error reoccuring in a more problematic state could occur.
