We are now with a customer on Barrowfield Road at Kenilworth in Warwickshire, We are here because the customer Expressed concern about Their Computer trying to redirect the computer to the website www.sswnl.com upon inspecting the information on the site I would assume that it is a scam site design to scare people in to paying to remove issues that don’t exist, the first thing is the childish website address that its registered to is firstname.lastname@example.org, the scam is introduced presumably as a voice file on an advert in much the same manor as a scammer will ring and claim you have 1000’s of problems and ask you to give them control of your computer system, don’t go to the website and please never hand control of your computer to any strangers.
We are with a customer on Church Lane in Lighthorne, We are here because the customer reported a problem getting Google to load up on one of their computers, upon investigation we find the computer has a browser hijack which we disable and then run a malware, Spy ware and virus scan, This revealed 800 different problems including a fake antivirus, after all had been removed we edited the hosts file and updated Internet Explorer from version 6 to Version 8.
We are now with Lighthorne Lamb in Lighthorne, We are here to remove a fake Antivirus Program from a computer, plus a few Trojan Viruses and other malware, We complete this by editing the registry, Then removing the fake antivirus and following up with a Virus and Malware Scan to make sure that the computer is clear.
We are with a Customer on St Marys Road in Stratford upon Avon, The customer has reported that the computer system here is Locking up, We edited the Registry Removed some Trojan Virus and Malware, Updated Drivers, updated Internet Explorer 7 to Version 8, The main issue here was a fake antivirus called PC Doc Pro V5 which had not installed properly and was causing the system to freeze.
Good afternoon we are with a customer on Church Hill in Royal Leamington Spa, We are here to remove a Virus that uses random letters plus ftav.exe, The symptoms are a green shield in the resident program icons, We removed this problem by editing the registry, Deleting the Virus Files from the Application Data and Temp Files, And then checked clear by running a Malwarebytes Scan, The Norton antivirus here was very out of date and needed the use of the Norton removal tool to uninstall from the computer, We replaced this with the free AVG antivirus and Zonealarm firewall.
Good afternoon we are now with a customer on Heyville Croft in Kenilworth, We are here to remove a fake antivirus from a Sony Vaio laptop computer, The fake is called Internet Secuirity 2010 its aim is to relief you off some money for a product that does not exist.
Update This version seemed to be helped by a Trojan downloader virus and had attached its self to the system files in effect we were forced to lose the system restore folder or get the virus back.
