We are now with a customer on Price Close West on the Chase Meadows in Warwick, The Problem here is the customers computer is unable to open Outlook.
Update: This one was due to a couple of issues the main one being that the PST file was corrupt this was solved by running the scan program and running the option to reset the panes.
We are with a customer on the Stockton Road at Long Itchington near Southam in Warwickshire, We are here because the customer has attempted to run the recovery disk on a HP Pavilion DV9700 laptop computer, Unfortunately the disk supplied does not contain the correct drivers for the laptop. We get around this by temporarily plugging in a wireless USB adaptor and connecting to the customers internet to download the correct drivers from the HP website. It needed drivers for the audio, Chipset, Modem, Touchpad, TV Tuner, Onboard video card, Onboard wired network card and the Wireless LAN to complete this repair.

Update: on this one there was a number of programs using to many resources for this computer, We removed Google Desktop and other memory resident programs that were not required, Updated the antivirus to Avast and installed and ran a Malware Scan
Good Morning, Today we are with Employment Law Training in Wellesbourne, We are here because the new Wireless Kodak ESP7 all in one printer is giving problems with the scanner interface, we have updated the firmware and software to the latest versions available but are still having issues, To progress any further here we have had to raise a support ticket with Kodak (0870 2430270) unfortunately this also means we have to return another day after they have responded.
Update after a number of Calls we obtained an error code 2005.
Good afternoon, We are with a customer on Station Road at Balsall Common in Warwickshire, We are here because the customer has reported that his computer needs repairing the fault described is that the computer is powering up but has flashing on the screen.
Update after some investigation it was found that the computers power supply was not functioning correctly so we replaced the unit and tested, We also updated the customer antivirus and firewall programs to the latest versions.

We are here to solve the customers problem which is that the computer is not starting up and giving the error “DISK BOOT FAILURE”, we manage to recover this computer and recommended that the customer backup his important data and pictures.
We are now at a customer on Coten End in Warwick, Our Customer has a really old machine running Windows 3.1 that is not going pas the Windows Logo on Startup.
Update After testing we found that it was cause by an old faulty USB Broadband Modem, If it was left disconnected on boot up the computer worked fine, Even odder was that if reconnected after you could still access the internet, We have recommended a new computer and to get the Broadband modem Replaced with a network router.

Update: After checking the memory and the hard drive the only option we had was to reinstall Windows XP and updated all drivers. We then backed up all the data in case off any further issues.

Good Afternoon, For our next job today we are with a customer on Binswood Avenue in Leamington Spa, We are here because the customer has reported after a Windows Update the computers Internet Explorer stopped working.
Update : We tested this one with the -extoff extension and it worked fine so we removed incompatible addons and removed unneeded toolbars, and this solved the customers issue, we then also ran a malware check to make sure the computer was clean.

Good morning today we are with a customer at Bascote between Ufton Southam and Long Itchington in Warwickshire, We are here because the customers computer is running slow and has a never ending stream of pop ups appearing on the screen these are usually titled Adserving or Aedgency.com, To remove this we had to edit the startup files in the registry, Removed temporary files, Ran a Trojan virus remover, and once cleaned we setup a backup system.
Good afternoon today we are at a customers on Sovereign Close in Kenilworth, We are here because the customer has reported that their computer is running very slow. On this computer we edited the registry and startup files and removed cleaned and refitted the processors heat sink and fans .
This morning we are in Kenilworth to investigate a noisy laptop amongst other general computer maintenance.
Update its turned out the noise was a faulty battery , whilst here we installed the customers Canon IP90 printer and updated their Antivirus
Next today we are with a Customer in Stratford upon Avon, We are here to repair a computer that has no power when the power button is pressed, We replaced the power supply unit and checked the PC.
Good morning today we are with a customer at Wellesbourne in Warwickshire, We are here to keep there computer up to date, Upgrade antivirus Etc, as well as repair an issue with the email, the problem was an email stuck in the out box, and Track an intermittent issue on a Kodak Wireless Printer.
Now we are with a customer in Barford, We are here to connect an IBM R51 Laptop to the customers broadband and setup the internet and email systems.Upon examination a lot of the computers drivers are missing, we reloaded all the computers drivers which fixed the problem.

This morning we are at a customers in Radford Semele to repair a computer the fault with the computer is that it keeps loosing its time, Date and hard drive Settings, This is most likley to be a CMOS Battery issue so we opened up the case and found it needed a CR2032 battery which we changed and fixed the problem.
Good afternoon for our Last job today we are with a customers in Wellesbourne, We are here because the customer computer is not booting up and giving a “non-system disk or disk error replace and strike any key when ready” error to repair this we loaded the recovery console from CD and tried to read the drive this failed so we ran the recovery program this claimed to have fixed many faults and the drive was read able again. We rebooted the machine and all was fixed the customer has been told to back up any important or irreplaceable data like pictures in case the machine fails again.
This afternoon we are with a customer in Whitnash Removing a root kit virus from his desktop PC. A rootkit Virus is a virus that attaches it’s self to a main system file and can be pretty hard to find.
Good Morning today we are starting at a customers on Palmer Road in Whitnash, We are here to look at the Customers Internet Troubles, Its determined that the trouble is caused by a faulty ADSL Modem which we replace and test.
For the next job today we are at Alfresco Design Associates Limited at Wellesbourne in Warwickshire, We are here because the customers machine has been intermittently rebooting, This appeared to be a thermal issue on the processor as it was reaching 67 degrees C, The computer was fixed by removing dust and carpet hair from the top of the processors heat sink and fan when retested the processor was only reaching 36 degrees C.
As a general rule Intel processors halve the speed of the processor as soon as the temperature goes above 50 degrees Celsius to compensate and try to reduce the heat so if your reading above 50 degrees Celsius check your Processor Fan and make sure its working and not clogged up.
Today we are on Old Road in Bishops Itchington , We are at a customers attempting to Recover data from an old 3.5″ Floppy Disc, We succeed in our Task and leave behind one very happy customer.
Good afternoon we are in Warwick to repair a computer that is rebooting constantly, for this one we have booted up a CD in recovery console and attempted to read the drive this resulted in the error “An error occurred during directory enumeration” and meant the drive was currently unreadable, So we ran the recovery tool from the CD, this found and fixed errors on the hardrive this allowed us to load the computer and the customers data was recovered, The recommendation at this point is to make sure any important or irreplaceable data such as letters,accounts or pictures are all backed up to another media such as CD, Memory Stick or another hardrive as the possibility of the error reoccuring in a more problematic state could occur.

We are here to Install the customers wireless router on Tiscali broadband , Setup the Customers Email System, As well as performing general computer maintenance such as updating their antivirus and firewall to the latest versions, and installing an Epson multifunction printer.

Update: The main thing effecting the speed of this Dell Studio laptop was the webcontrol software supplied was hogging resources so we removed this and other programs by editing the registry.
Good afternoon we are now with a customer at Bridgetown in Stratford upon Avon, our purpose here is to connect the customer laptop to connect the customers Laptop computer to the internet.
Update the issue here was with the Network driver so to repair it we had to remove the Intel Wireless adaptor reset winsock and the tcpip stack then rebooot and reinstall the drivers.
Good morning today we are with a customer at The Meadows in Leek Wootton near Warwick, We are here to change the customer over to Sky Broadband and have installed the supplied router, We have also updated the customers firewall and antivirus software and removed a shortcut for some thing called Platte Account as well as a few Trojan viruses.
Good morning today we are at a customers in Mollington Grove at Hatton Park, We are here to rescue a laptop computer with Windows XP installed that is not booting, the issue is to far gone to be able to repair it normally and quickly we revert to backing up and reinstalling windows over the top in doing this we managed to recover the customers data and got the machine operating normally again.
