Computer Repair Wireless Installation and Trojan Virus Removal in Kenilworth

We are now with a customer on Webster Avenue in Kenilworth, We are here to repair several computer problems.

The desktop computer here has Trojan viruses and malware which we removed and then updated the antivirus software.

We reset the Router to include Wireless security.

The Philips Laptop has wireless issues and a fan that is not working, We stripped the laptop, Cleaned the fan and then reassembled this solved the fan issue, Removed and reinstalled the wireless driver which gave us working wireless .

Internet Explorer and Outlook Express not Loading in Kenilworth

Good afternoon, We are now with a customer on Windy Arbour in Kenilworth, We are here to solve an issue a Files Permissions error with Internet Explorer and Outlook Express, The issue here turns out to be a piece of malware called IAV this needs to be removed from the Registry and then any associated files removed from the machine this one had an EXE, LSP, Toolbar, And a browser hijack, We removed all these and retested the PC all clear.

We are with a customer on Birches Lane in Kenilworth,We are here to setup a backup system for an external USB hard drive that the customer has purchased, for this we are using the download from microsoft , The reason for using this is that it is pretty easy to use and does not take more than a few minutes to update because it only copies the files that have been changed since the last backup.

Next today we are with a customer in Kenilworth, We are here to setup the customers new Compaq Desktop PC, This consisted of Installing the customers required software, Transferring data from an old IDE hard drive from a previous computer, and Setting up an Existing Epsonj DX5000 printer.

Trojan Downloader and fake Antivirus Removal in Kenilworth

Good afternoon we are now with a customer on Heyville Croft in Kenilworth, We are here to remove a fake antivirus from a Sony Vaio laptop computer, The fake is called Internet Secuirity 2010 its aim is to relief you off some money for a product that does not exist.

Update This version seemed to be helped by a Trojan downloader virus and had attached its self to the system files in effect we were forced to lose the system restore folder or get the virus back.

W32 Trojan Virus in Kenilworth

Good Morning we are with a customer on Fishponds Road in Kenilworth, we are here because the customer has reported his laptop computer is running slow. After some investigation the computer was found to have a number of Trojan horse Viruses including the W32 patched virus. These were removed and the customers laptop computer was back to normal again.

autorun.gl Worm Removal in Kenilworth

We are with a customer in Kenilworth, We are here to removal a worm called autorun.gl from a laptop and 3 pen drives. It seems the AVG installed is failing with this virus at the present time, so we have removed AVG and installed Avast Antivirus this was able to scan the laptop computer and remove all traces of the worm,  We was then in a position to clean the Pen Drives using a utility downloaded from Avast.

Broadband Trouble in Stoneleigh

We are now with a customer in Stoneleigh to look at an issue with broadband, The issue here is no connection to the exchange, so we test with a known working modem and this is the same we then went to the master socket and tested and all was ok.

Update: The fault is traced to an internet wiring fault on the phone line.

Virgin / NTL Wireless Access Point Setup in Kenilworth

For our Last job this afternoon we are at a customers on Henry Street in Kenilworth, We are here to setup an access point system with a cable modem and a router.

Update : We managed to get it to work in the attic with a laptop and on a playstation 3 on the first floor all coming from one access point on the ground floor.

Data Recovery in Kenilworth

We have been called out to do an Emergency computer data recovery in Kenilworth.

The Laptop computer had been dropped one concrete floor smashing the screen to pieces and the customer had after speaking to me had decided to rushed out to buy a new Sony Vaio Laptop Computer, We came and managed to extract the customers data from the old computer and transfer to the new computer. We also Installed the customers programs for him.

So he was up and running again within 5 hours of breaking his old computer.

Computer Repair in Kenilworth

This Morning we are with a customer in Kenilworth, The customers Computer is not starting correctly and failing to boot up.

What had happened here was the processor had got to hot and started to shut down, which meant it had got so slow the computer had failed to shut down correctly  before the power had gone when the customer attempted to power down, so we cleaned up the Heat sink on the processor and ran a repair on the hard drive and left the machine in a working state backing up the data in case any further issues arise.

Computer Installation at Kenilworth

This afternoon we are at a customers in Kenilworth, We are here for Several jobs starting by Installing the customers new BT broadband router, Then setting up their new laptop computer and installing any needed software including AVG free antivirus Software and setting up an Existing Canon Pixma IP90 Printer, This was then finished up by transferring the customers data from an existing Laptop PC to the new laptop and testing that all is readable.
