We are now able to offer an installation service for bridged or single Access point setup.
Bridging access points is very useful for larger buildings that require full coverage of a wireless network or buildings with metal objects embeded in the walls as a way of moving the radio around the problem this requires a minimum of 2 Wireless access points with a bridge capacity.
Single access Points are mainly used to add wireless capability to an existing wired network system.
The access points are not very big typically about A5 in size and approximately 2 cm tall although you still need to allow room for the aerial at the back most can be used wall mounted as well as free standing.
Good Morning, We are with a customer on the High street in Henley in Arden, We are here to Install a Netgear wireless ADSL modem router and connect to all the computers and wireless devices at the customers premises.
Update: There was an issue with receiving wireless signal in the kitchen downstairs, We worked out that is was to do with lead in the roof just above the kitchen and with this knowledge we repositioned the router and managed to get a usable internet connection.
This morning we are with a customer on the High Street in Henley in Arden, We are here because the customer has bough a new Apple Macbook Air running OS X Snow Leopard they need it setting up with his wireless network, The customer also wants to run Windows software on this machine so we looked at Parallels Desktop Version 4 and VMware Fusion 3, we opted to try the VMware Fusion as they provided a trial version on download and at this time Parallels seems to be in beta, when finished the VMware worked perfectly with the Quicken and Microsoft Office programs so we purchased the full versions.
This Morning we are on Mountfield Crescent in Wellesbourne installing a Wireless Bridge system of Access Points, The main objective of this is to share the Buildings Internet connection in an office with a room at the opposite end of the House , We managed to accomplish this using only 2 access points one which has to be wired to the main router and the other in a strategic location on route to the room requiring access, When we tested this setup we found we had also gained internet access in the summer house at the end of the garden.
