Good morning today I am with a customer near Lewis Road at Radford Semele in Warwickshire, we are here because the customer has reported issues with using his Apple Macbook Pro Computer, It seems the problems the customer has on his Apple Macbook Pro are all to do with driver issues and need to be downloaded from the internet, unfortunately the internet service provider is Enta and the tariff has never been upgraded so the download speed obtainable (70 Kilobits per Second) is only about twice the speed of an old fashioned dial up connection (35 to 40 Kilobits per Second), the customer is already with sky for his telephone and TV package so we have ordered their Sky broadband unlimited package which they have reported should run between 1 and 4 Megabits per second and come back to fix the computer issues after the Sky Broadband has been activated.
Next today we are with a customer on Castle Close at Warwick in Warwickshire, we are here because the customer has reported problems connecting to the internet at their premises, after some investigation it is found that the Linksys ADSL modem router has lost some of its set up information, we reset the correct ADSL log in setup information and reinstall the wireless security and tested with their computers.
Good morning we are with a customer on Windy Arbour at Kenilworth in Warwickshire, we are here because the customer has reported that their computer is running very slowly, its found that the phone line has a noise quality issue which will effect the internet connection quality and will cause our intermittent internet problem, we investigate further and find that we also have a second issue slowing down the computer, that is the computer has 2 antivirus programs installed and they are conflicting with each other, after removing one and editing the registry, and checking all up to date this computer was working at a good speed again.
Good morning we are with a customer on Guys Cliffe Road at Leamington Spa in Warwickshire, we are here to help the customer solve an issue with their internet which started after upgrading the antivirus to AVG 2012 Internet Security.
Update: Before we arrived the customer had ran system restore and this had got the internet security in to a bit of a mess, the add remove programs and the AVG removal tool would not work , so we removed all the temp files and application data, ran the Windows Install Cleaner and was then able to attempt a reinstall of the program, once installed the firewall failed and got stuck in a reboot loop, this seemed to be going no where fast so we removed the program and reinstalled the AVG Free which worked first time.
We also realigned the Brother DCP585CW whilst here as the print out appeared to have a blurred shadow in normal printing mode, with adjustment this appeared to be better, with Fine mode looking perfect.
We are now with Flooring inspirations on Wharf Street at Warwick in Warwickshire, we are here to replace a faulty router with a new Netgear DSN1000 Router, after which we do but get random Connection issues on the customers Dell Computer, to solve this problem we fixed the wireless channel , cleared the TCP IP , winsocks, cache and the DNS and this fixed the issue.
It seems some customers have been having issues collecting their hosted emails all appear to be on BT Infinity or BT ADSL connections, we spoke to BT Yesterday and it appears there was a DNS issue which has been resolved, if this is the case power cycle your BT router and your email should start working again.
Good morning we are with a customer on the Stratford Road at Warwick in Warwickshire, we are here because the customer is reporting poor wireless signal to their BT Infinity wireless router with their Compaq Laptop Computer.
Update: There was a connection issue with the infinity router and so we rang BT technical support who got the broadband up and running quiet quickly, the weak signal was because the laptop had reattached its self to a neighbours BT Openzone network, After getting the computer working properly on the customers router we found the internet was still slow to respond so we deleted the internet cache and this fixed the issue.
Next today we are at Langcliffe Avenue on the Woodloes in Warwick, we are here because the customers internet has stopped working, after testing we find its an issue with the length of the telephone extension line to the ADSL modem that’s installed here, however in the past 6 years since it was installed their requirements have changed, so we have altered the wiring to make it work, upgraded to a wireless ADSL modem router and set up the computers here to work via wireless .
Next today we are with Lighthorne Lamb at Lighthorne in Warwickshire, the customer is having problems with the internet at this location, this is traced to a Faulty BT Router which is reset for now but is quite old and will need replacing in the near future.
This morning we are working for Pentastic Ltd at cubbington near Leamington Spa in Warwickshire to help repair a laptop computer, the fault with it is that the internet is not working on this machine.
To repair this computer we reset the TCPIP and winsocks and cleared the internet cache files.
At Kenilworth in the morning to sort out an adsl wireless router , and help a little with google web page search stuff with @suecablephoto www.suecablephotography.co.uk .
Then the afternoon in Henley in Arden first setting up an Apple Mac with a virtual Windows using VMware Fusion happy to say that’s easier to do since i first set one up a good few years ago.

Phew last job of the day we are now in Lillington Between Leamington Spa and Cubbington . We are here to setup a new router on an aol broadband system, The old router is a BT one that looks like its been used for 6 years or more one of the original ones aol provided when it first launched broadband. still we managed to find all the details and set up a netgear wireless router in its place.
This Morning we are at Stratford upon Avon in Warwickshire working for terry-green trouble shooting a bridged wireless access point system. fault found and system left in good working order. We think the BT engineer must have been powering on and off the Netgear WN802T Access Points to quickly.
Good morning we are with a customer on Farm Street at Harbury in Warwickshire, We are here because the customer has reported a problem connecting to the internet.
Update: We solved this and had the customers broadband and computer running smoothly and fully up to date in less than an hour.
Good Morning, We are with a customer on the High street in Henley in Arden, We are here to Install a Netgear wireless ADSL modem router and connect to all the computers and wireless devices at the customers premises.
Update: There was an issue with receiving wireless signal in the kitchen downstairs, We worked out that is was to do with lead in the roof just above the kitchen and with this knowledge we repositioned the router and managed to get a usable internet connection.
We are now with a customer on the Blacklow Road in Warwick, We are here to Support a customer with a Wireless Connectivity issue, The problem is that the cable modem and the Router are in a study room upstairs but the customer would like to be able to wirelessly use the internet in the lounge downstairs and connect a computer via cable in an upstairs room, To solve this we connect the Cable modem and Router to the PC upstairs as normal, The house already has fitted a network cable with a socket next to the router upstairs and another socket in the hall next to the lounge downstairs as well as a cable and socket to feed the bed room , We connect a short network RJ45 fly lead between the socket and the router upstairs, Downstairs we attach a Switch which allows us to share between the Bedroom upstairs and a Netgear Access Point to allow us to wirelessly connect in the lounge.
We are now in Eathorpe near Leamington Spa, We are here because the customer has reported that Internet Explorer has been blocked on her computer system, What we had to do here was reset the winsocks and TCP/IP settings and this repaired the issue.
We are with a customer on the High Street in Marton, The Problem here is that the computer has missing Documents, Pictures, Emails, It also has a Browser Hijack which upon opening Internet Explorer random internet sites appeared at will, After checking the machine we removed a Root Kit Virus and several Trojan Viruses, Edited the registry, Cleaned the Internet Explorer Browser, removed all the temporary files, Repaired the computers file Permissions, and restored all the data, after all this we ran a malware scan to check all was clean.

Update while here we also fixed an issue the customer was having with Microsoft Outlook
Next today we are with A1 Sea Foods in Warwick, We are here to fix an issue on one computer in the network which can not connect to the Internet but can see the Network.
Good morning today we are with a customer at Bascote between Ufton Southam and Long Itchington in Warwickshire, We are here because the customers computer is running slow and has a never ending stream of pop ups appearing on the screen these are usually titled Adserving or Aedgency.com, To remove this we had to edit the startup files in the registry, Removed temporary files, Ran a Trojan virus remover, and once cleaned we setup a backup system.
Good Morning, Today we are with a customer on Mountford Close in Wellesbourne, We are here to change over the customers broadband from Tiscali to BT Internet, and other computer maintenance such as updating their Antivirus to AVG 9.0 and running a Malware Scan and check the computer is running correctly..
Next today we are with a customer at Leamington Spa in Warwickshire, We are here to setup the customers Wireless broadband Router. To get this to work correctly we had to update the customers Dell laptop computers wireless driver.
We are now with a customer in Stoneleigh to look at an issue with broadband, The issue here is no connection to the exchange, so we test with a known working modem and this is the same we then went to the master socket and tested and all was ok.
Update: The fault is traced to an internet wiring fault on the phone line.
Good Morning Today we are with a customer at Grump Street in Ilmington, We are here to fix the customers broadband problems, The problem being that the customers could see the router but not the internet, On this one it required the winsocks and tcpip stack to be reset and some other computer maintenance.
Good morning, We are with a customer on Salemorton Court at Limetree Village near Cawston, Rugby. We are here to Install the customers wireless router on Tiscali broadband , Setup the Customers Email System, As well as performing general computer maintenance such as updating their antivirus and firewall to the latest versions, and installing an Epson multifunction printer.
This afternoon we are at a customers on the Stratford Road in Lighthorne Heath near Gaydon test track, We are here to setup a desktop computer with a Sky broadband router for this one we provided a Wireless USB adapter to allow the use of the computer upstairs and the router to remain downstairs.
Update we had a few issues with the lenght of line at this address but managed to get it working stably, Sky’s Support Telephone Number is 0870 600 5630 i checked online and broadband support should also be on 0800 0287855.
Good morning today we are with a customer on the Woodloes in Warwick, We are here to fix a broadband problem on the talktalk ISP they gave us a second line support number to use should the issue arise again this is 0870 087 8046.
Update this number has been withdrawn i guess to many people found it over the last 6 months
This afternoon we are at a customers in Kenilworth, We are here for Several jobs starting by Installing the customers new BT broadband router, Then setting up their new laptop computer and installing any needed software including AVG free antivirus Software and setting up an Existing Canon Pixma IP90 Printer, This was then finished up by transferring the customers data from an existing Laptop PC to the new laptop and testing that all is readable.
