Update: due to lack of foresight Dell have made this one a complete strip down job it took approximately 90 Minutes in total to strip the machine replace the battery ( CR2032 ) and rebuild the laptop to a working state, When it really could have needed the cover for the memory on the base being 2 cm bigger.

We get around this by temporarily plugging in a wireless USB adaptor and connecting to the customers internet to download the correct drivers from the HP website. It needed drivers for the audio, Chipset, Modem, Touchpad, TV Tuner, Onboard video card, Onboard wired network card and the Wireless LAN to complete this repair.
